| GEORGINA BLAZE NOVICE AA CENTRAL ONTARIO CHAMPS
The Blaze novice AA team won the OMHA Central Ontario Championship in fine style only losing just two games during the regular season and playoffs. The Broadway Auto Sales Novice AA Blaze captured the OMHA Central Ontario Championship March 14 at the Ice Palace. The win capped off a regular season in which the Blaze finished first in their division, posting a 25-1-4 record and earning a bye through the first round of playoffs. On the way to the finals, the Blaze faced Barrie, Aurora and Orangeville — last year’s Novice AA Champion. The Blaze defeated Orangeville 5-4, 7-3 and 6-1 to capture the Phil Hendry Trophy and the Dodge Cup with a post-season record of 9-1-0. In the true spirit of hockey and following in the footsteps of the Stanley Cup, the team has started its own Dodge Cup Travels where it will be the special guest of each player and coach, eventually taking its place in the GMHA Trophy Case. .
