A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT...

On behalf of the Executive, Players and Staff I would like to congratulate the Napanee Raiders on their win in the OHA Provincial Junior "C" Quarter Finals. To our players, we congratulate you on a great season and you should be proud of the fact that YOU are only the 2nd team in our 14 Year History to bring home the Cougar Cup as CENTRAL ONTARIO JR. "C" CHAMPIONS.

We extend a special thank-you and goodbye to our Captain and Asst. Captains Andy Lamoureux, Scott Sime, and Tyler Gouviea, as well Shane Habib and Don Sanderson. It has been a pleasure to watch you grow and mature as hockey players and young men. Good luck in all your future endeavours. Thank-you to our staff for your continued commitment and dedication in making THE ICE a Team we can all be proud of.

Thank-you to our Corporate Sponsors The Mansion House and the Chippewas of Georgina Island, to the Udora-Leaskdale Lions Club for sponsoring our Booster Club , and to all our Game Night and Program Sponsors for your continued support over these many years. Without you we couldn't do this year after year.

Last but not least, thank-you to the FANS of Georgina who keep filling those seats week after week. YOU are the reason this Team has played with such Heart and for that , we thank-you.

Sincerely,

Glenn Ulrich,
President
Georgina Ice Jr. "C" Hockey Club Inc.

ICE SEASON COMES TO AN END

The 2007-08 season came to an end for the Georgina Ice Tuesday night losing to the hometown Napanee Raiders by a 6-3 score in Game 7 of the OHA Provincial Quarter Finals.

The Raiders jumped out to a 3-0 lead to end the first period and carried the momentum into the second where they added two more to go to the dressing room in front 5-0.

The Ice made a go of it in the third scoring 3 third period goals but it wasnt enough as the Raiders scored 1 to take the game 6-3.

The Raiders will now take on the winner of the Walkerton/Alliston series. Alliston currently leads that series 3 games to 2.
